Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Waking Words ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Waking Words is a daily stream-of-consciousness journaling app. The App provides a distraction-free writing environment with word count and time tracking, and syncs your entries across devices via iCloud Drive.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all journal entries and other content you create in the App. Your content is stored as plain text files in your private iCloud Drive and on your device. We do not access, view, or claim any rights to your content.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose as a personal journaling tool. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or networks

In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional premium purchase handled by Apple through StoreKit. All purchases are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. We do not process payments directly.

iCloud Drive Sync

The App uses Apple's iCloud Drive to store and sync your journal entries. Availability and reliability of iCloud services are governed by Apple's terms. We are not responsible for data loss caused by iCloud service disruptions.

Third-Party Services

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics by Google to collect crash reports, diagnostic data, and anonymous usage statistics to improve app stability and understand how the app is used. These services are governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. No personal content is shared with these services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brutechild, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised effective date will be posted at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Brutechild, LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
